Summary, etc. يتناول كتاب (منهج التصنيف والفهرسة في مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية) والذي قام بتأليفه مكتبة الملك فهد الوطنية، موضوع (الفهرسة) يأتي هذا الكتاب بعد تأكد المكتبة إلى ضرورة إعداد منهج متكامل للتصنيف والفهرسة، نظرا للاختلافات والاجتهادات في خطط التصنيف وقواعد الفهرسة، لذلك وضعت إدارة التصنيف والفهرسة خطة محكمة في أكثر من عشرين نقطة توضيحية، لتمييز أوعية المعلومات، حيث لا يتشابه أي وعاء مع الآخر في رقم طلبه، وبما أن هناك نوعيات معينة من الكتب يكثر فيها تشابه المداخل، فقد خصصت لها خططا منهجية، كالمطبوعات الحكومية والتقارير السنوية للجامعات والبنوك وما إليها. وقد دأبت إدارة التصنيف والفهرسة على حل الصعوبات الفنية التي تواجهها أولا بأول بإصدار التعميمات المتتالية على مدى السنوات الماضية، وقامت بتجميعها وضمها للمنهج بغية الفائدة وتوحيد أسلوب العمل.
